Godshall Announces $225,000 in Waste Management Grants for Montgomery County
5/24/2010

Rep. Robert Godshall (R-Montgomery) announced today that Montgomery County will receive two grants totaling more than $225,000 from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

Godshall said the grants will aid the county’s waste management and recycling programs.

“One grant for $199,574 will reimburse the county for up to 80 percent of the cost of revising the county’s solid waste management plan,” said Godshall.  “The other grant, totaling $26,000, will be used to reimburse the county for half the cost of its recycling coordinator’s salary and expenses.”

The grants are made possible through the County Planning Grant and County Recycling Coordinator Grant Programs.
