DEP to Honor PA’s Environmental Stewards, Godshall Says
HARRISBURG – Rep. Robert Godshall (R-Montgomery) today praised the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for its plans to honor citizens who work to protect Pennsylvania’s environment.

“Today the DEP announced that it is seeking applications for the 2017 Governor’s Awards for Environmental Excellence, which will recognize environmental advocates whose hard work has made a difference in protecting Pennsylvania’s water, air and land,” said Godshall. “This is an excellent way to honor those who work on our behalf to ensure a clean and healthy environment and to safeguard our quality of life.”

According to the DEP, the award is open to all individuals, nonprofits, businesses, farms, government agencies and educational institutions. Individuals and organizations are invited to apply for the award for environmental projects completed between Aug. 1, 2015, and July 31, 2016.

Find complete project guidelines and applications at 2017 Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence. Applications must be emailed to by Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at 5 p.m.
